Theory

Courses can be tailored to particular groups. They can be stand alone classroom sessions on the subjects listed below or they can be composed from any of course components required for Australian Canoeing Sea Skills, Leader, Guide or Instructor Awards, these include:

 

• Weather Interpretation

• Coastal Navigation

• Boat design and Equipment selection

• Trip planning and preparation

• Leadership

• Risk Management

• Sea kayak coaching techniques.

• Lesson Planning

 

Classroom sessions usually involve works shops, quizzes, presentations and exercises. Resource materials will usually be provided and included in course costs.

Cost per course will depend on numbers in the course, resources required and any venue hire costs.
